Lake House Daylesford
Within 3 hours of the Melbourne set in Victorian Spa country, Lake House is a luxury hotel and spa retreat on a large property on the shores of Lake Daylesford with direct access to the wombat state forest.
There are six types of private, luxury accommodation suite all with king size beds, private bathrooms with deep baths and heated floors. The menu at the onsite Lake House restaurant is all about seasonal, regional food produced from the ground up on the premises, from house made baked bread to an extensive charcuterie (bacon, ham, sausage, terrines, pates and confits) range. Restaurant guests enjoy picturesque view from the outdoor terrace were they sip from a wine list that offers more than 700 labels from the surrounding wine region.
For those who like a bath tub with a view, the onsite Salus Spa has private hot mineral water tubs overlooking the lake as well as a range of beauty treatments aimed at reducing stress levels and providing skin and beauty rejuvenation. Apart from all this luxury and indulgences, there\'s also the country gardens surrounding the house to explore, by either jogging along the tracks or hopping on a mountain bike. Other active pursuits include tennis, laughter club, yoga, tai chi, group personal training, a game of billiards in the common lounge area or relax with a glass of wine by the open fire. Scavenger hunts, culinary Olympics and cooking demonstrations add to the long list of activities that that hotel organises.
