Lake House wins Best Hotel Dining Award

When Alla Wolf Takser and husband Allan first conceived of a fine dining restaurant by the shores of Lake Daylesford in 1984, she grasped her impossible dream and ran with it. The Results of her single minded determination and insistence on excellence is Lake House, a boutique hotel and destination restaurant now known throughout the land.

The polished restaurant remains Wolf - Taskers crowning achievement. Long before paddock to plate entered the omnivores vocabulary, she was geeing up local growers to produce the sort of premium ingredients expected of one of the country\'s finest dining rooms.

The boutique hotel\'s 33 room range from Waterfront Suite with WiFi and double spas, to villas with open fireplaces and indulgent ceramic baths, and the new Retreat, a two bedroom country house ideal for intimate house parties complete with fire pit and sunken out door hot tub.

There\'s plenty more aquatic action at the on site Salus Spa where tree-house mineral spas are all the rage. With its dreamy lakefront position, formidable cellar, generous service and enjoyably creative cuisine, Lake House satisfies on all front.
