Wombat Hill House Cafe

A place of blissful enchantment...

Back Garden

Walk down the magical tree lined pathways, following the scent of wood fires & the sound of soft music until you spot the carefully renovated caretaker’s cottage. The café sits amongst 10.4 hectares of gardens atop Wombat Hill – the site of an extinct volcano.

There are several beautiful areas including the main room – decorated with communal tables & open fire. A mural by artist Allan Wolf-Tasker holds centre stage – depicting the wild and magical creatures of the Wombat State Forest. A bar opens out into the covered (and heated) Pergola whilst the kitchen garden wraps around the outside of the building providing plenty of places to explore, recline in the sunshine or take in the mountain air. Wombat Hill House menus are driven by seasonal influence and designed to be simple & delicious.

Open Thursday to Monday - 9 'til 4.
We hibernate on Tuesday & Wednesday!
