Eliza & Anthony - July 2011

Wow! We've just got back from our honeymoon and we're still talking about what a wonderful wedding we had at the Lake House! Anthony and I want to say a special thank you for all the thoughtful planning in organising such a flawless wedding for us - it really came together like a dream. The whole day went beautifully at every step and we felt wonderfully "looked after" by all of the Lake House staff, as did all of our guests (especially our elderly friend Barbara, who was sick with pneumonia but I hear was brought a hot drink straight away when she arrived). The food was superb as was Alla's final menu design - the flavours of each and every part of every dish were exquisite and perfectly fine-tuned; the waiting staff looking after us were so gracious and accommodating and went about the service with superb organisation. We couldn't have been more impressed. Our guests have also given us similar feedback. Everyone has said they really had the best day and thought that the Lake House provided the most gorgeous location, food and service.

Finally, a special thank you to the very talented Denise for the spectacular flowers! The room looked absolutely heavenly with all the hyacinths, jonquils and "happy wanderer", the cake was so artistically festooned as well, and the bouquets were the perfect complement to our dresses. In fact my bouquet was so pretty there was a shocking (but hilarious) "rugby moment" when I tossed it to the single girls line-up - the catcher of the bouquet insisting that the only reason she sent herself flying through the air in the way of the other girls was because she "just really liked the flowers"

So, thanks to everyone who helped pull the day together, we couldn't be happier with how it all went, and we look forward to coming back to revisit our happy day on future anniversaries.

We are writing in to say a big Thank you for organizing our pre wedding lunch at the Lake house. We know there had to be some last minute changes but you were so accommodating.

The food and service was just out of this world. All our friends really enjoyed the food and they are still talking about it. We really couldn't have asked for more. We have to mention that the young waiter at our table was very attentive, professional and just a delight to have with us. We do know it can be a difficult task taking care of such a huge group but both waiters did it effortlessly. We have fallen in love with daylesford and will definately be back to visit and eat at the lake house. We are still singing your praises all the way to Metung in East Gippsland.

Once again, many thanks to all involved, especially the Head Chef David Green, who deserves more chef hats and a raise in my opinion!! we only wish we could get him for the main wedding in England!

Thank you so much for all the planning, organising, and making sure everything went smoothly on our wedding weekend. The ceremony was perfect, the flowers were beautiful (everyone commented on how lovely the arrangements were) and with our dinner in the Cellar Room the service and food were excellent (once again, general consensus!). A special thank you for remembering my food allergy and catering for it.

We could not have had a more perfect weekend, thank you all again and we will definitely remember The Lake House for any future special events.

Just a note to say a big thanks for making our wedding day so special, we had a wonderful day and received many compliments from our guests about the food and the table arrangements. The table looked absolutely FANTASTIC, it was exactly what I wanted and the photos we have of it are stunning! Denise did an excellent job of the flowers and candles I couldn't have asked for more. Our guests were blown away by the room.

The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Our biggest thrill was to hear our guests say that it is the most memorable, personal and initimate wedding that they have been to and this can be amongst other things, attributed to the great location & food.Thankyou so much

We look forward to having our anniversary dinner at the Lake House next year!

We just wanted to  say a huge thank you for organising our wedding. We really had the most amazing and perfect day and without all of your help, patience  and attention to detail it would not have been such a wonderful day.

We have had so many comments from our friends and family on how fantastic it was and how much they loved the venue. Everyone had the best time. Everything was just excellent - the food, the service, the support  all the staff gave us both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day, the flowers (I will thank Denise separately too - she did a brilliant job) and the set-up, both the ceremony and reception room looked stunning.

We both have such fond memories; my only complaint was that it all went by so quickly! Thanks again for everything, we really appreciate it.
